Facilities Account Manager

Walpole, MA

The SEAM Group has an immediate opening for a Facilities Account Manager at our Walpole, MA location. We’re looking for a positive, upbeat person to join our customer service/scheduling team! This position works with SEAM Group's maintenance and installation division which manages more than 5,000 independent contractors nationwide who are on call to answer our clients’ needs. Our team, along with our patented technology and web-based management software, keeps our clients coming back!

We’re looking for a positive person who is a quick learner with a solid background in customer service, a strong problem solver, and an excellent communicator. If you’re a “people person” who is organized and comfortable talking with trades’ people, facilities’ teams, and site managers we may have just the right job for you!

This full-time position works a Monday thru Friday schedule in the office. (This position does share emergency phone coverage from time to time for after-hours calls-we will be glad to discuss how this works.)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • developing and maintaining relationships with key customer contacts and contractors;

  • scheduling and assigning contractors to orders that come into us and following up on results;

  • building customer satisfaction and creating new business opportunities (cold calling is involved);

  • evaluating customer needs, making recommendations, and visiting corporate offices;

  • researching and ordering materials (parts), working closely with contractors, customers, and supply houses, handling material returns as needed;

  • and reviewing and processing quotes to ensure they provide the most appropriate and economical solutions.


The best candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer service role (facilities management experience a plus)

  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships

  • Positive and upbeat manner, great interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor

  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills

  • Strong organizational abilities and the ability to manage a hectic job

  • Service center experience is a very good background

  • High school diploma required with college coursework a plus
