
Senior System Administrator - Network/Desktop Infrastructure
Reports To: IT Department Head

The main duties of this position are to ensure consistently high-quality and reliability of network infrastructure for all Predictive Service worldwide operations and facilities. In addition, back up the Sr. System Administrator - Desktop Infrastructure. Both roles are responsible for all aspects of customer support, system uptime, and security/disaster preparedness.
Predictive Service is primarily a Windows Server environment, but also running Linux Server and in the process of migrating infrastructure components to the cloud. The company is a software-enhanced service provider using inhouse-developed, proprietary windows, browser and mobile apps for external client access and internal customer productivity. The primary development environment is Visual Studios and most apps are written in C#, .NET and SQL Server. Server-side is currently hosted in Beachwood with an objective of cloud migration over the next year.
Responsibilities

Maintain reliability of existing network infrastructure in all Predictive Service office locations and remote users worldwide (approximately 150 internal customers, about half remote).

Support routine IT operations processes including data backups, security administration.

Support software development team and participate in software deployments.

Manage software change process for infrastructure systems (WSUS).

Propose and pursue evolutionary improvements in overall infrastructure environment.

Support DevOps mindset and assist development team with improving release cycle times and migration to cloud hosting.

Shared afterhours on-call availability for emergency issues.
Education and experience required for the position

Microsoft Windows Server Administration, especially Hyper-V and SQL Server.

Microsoft Cloud services – SharePoint, Exchange Online, Azure AD Sync, and OneDrive for Business.

Cloud infrastructure migrations – Azure, AWS or Google Platform Services.
