Senior IT Quality Assurance Automation Engineer


SEAM Group has an immediate opening for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in the Beachwood, Ohio office located at 25200 Chagrin Boulevard.  We’re looking for an IT professional to develop and execute automated and manual tests for our software to assess those applications against requirements using both a planned and exploratory approach. If you are a detail oriented professional who enjoys picking apart software programs and building automated testing procedures, we have just the right job for you!

Senior QA Automation Engineer duties include:

  • Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures  

  • Writing automation tests in code or updating and maintaining existing code

  • Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

  • Documenting software defects, using a bug tracking system, and reporting defects to software developers  

  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program function, output, online screen, or content  

  • Participation in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support (approximately 2 weeks every 3 months)

  • Supporting software deployment every 1-3 weeks, including Friday release night testing when necessary


The best candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years’ experience producing automated scripts in C# or Java

  • 4+ years’ experience in software testing in a web or .Net application environment testing User Interface, Database, Web services, API’s

  • 2+ years’ experience using Selenium

  • Experience with manual or automated testing on a mobile application

  • Experience in an ATDD or TDD environment

  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server (2016)

  • Familiar with Scrum/Agile software development

  • Experience writing automated tests using Selenium (preferred; not required)

  • Experience using VSTS (preferred; not required)

  • Experience with CodedUI, NUnit, Appium or TestComplete (preferred; not required)
